The ICRI-NE Board of Directors locally facilitates the mission of the International Concrete Repair Institute by coordinating professional development events and educational resources designed to improve the quality of concrete repair, restoration, and protection, and enhance communication among members and those who use their services.
EVENT RECAP: Alchemy of Admixtures – Sept 2025 Professional Development Seminar
Nearly 60 industry professionals gathered on Sept 8 for a joint event produced by ICRI-NE and ACI-NE titled, The Alchemy of Admixtures: Modern Concrete Admixtures and Their Use.
Local industry experts Brett Holland, PE, SE, Associate Principal with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Inc. and Brian Barry, Key Account Manager with Chryso-GCP each shared their deep knowledge and insights regarding appropriate materials, techniques and processes for effective concrete admixtures.
Attendees learned about Shrinkage Reducers, Water Reducers, Set Retarders, Type 1L Cements and a few tidbits about the factors considered when crafting the perfect concrete cocktail. The presentation was well organized and incredibly informative. Brett and Brian allowed for active Q&A engagement. Well done, gentlemen!

ICRI-NE Members and guests enjoyed a great day of golf, camaraderie, food and prizes at the 2025 ICRI-NE Golf Classic on June 10, 2025 at Red Tail Golf Club in Devens, MA. The important fundraiser supports ICRI-NE’s year-round efforts to provide members with quality programs and events.
